Beautiful !!! ... lots of great examples and these clips are certainly proof ! .... Many, many, many American jazz artists, past and present, have preferred albert clarinets - in particular Selmer albert clarinets) for jazz.

Absolutely!
And when I have played a couple of songs with my friend's dixieland (traditional jazz) band, his trumpet player has commented on what a big tone I get on my klarino. With them, I usually play a Buffet Bb with rings and rollers. The Albert really has a big sound!

right on Kalakos, you said the magic words "Big Tone" only on Albert system.

Truly amazing player!
Interesting - I understand what you mean about style and sound, but I started following the threads and the more I listen to him the more I get drawn into his style. It's an older style, not so much heard today, but he's quite good at it.
