I love this tsifeteli by Dimitri Mparouta
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiZA62Bro-A
His song is very much inspired by Vassili Salea or should I say is copied from Vasili's famous tsifeteli in parts.  I love the 1970's style, very fast and fiery.....great if it ever made a comeback  :TU: :TU: :TU: I think George (Salea) GTC...may appreciate it.

Kokoni - I think you have to be dead if that doesn't get under your skin.  Thank you!  :TU: :TU: :TU:

All the best Salea (George)
Out of interest since you were a student of the great Vasili Salea, in the late 1970's did you ever attempt this tsifteteli or your version of it. I think it could still be played today and blow the house down  amongst the younger generation Greeks.

No, I never tried this tsifteteli.  Actually, this is the first time I've heard it.  I did have a couple that played on the rhythm similar to that, and the people loved them.

I think it could still be played today and blow the house down  amongst the younger generation Greeks.

Definitely agree.
