Tereza, how often do you have to tune your kanonaki?  Is it like a piano, only once in a while or does it need constant tuning?

very fortuna-full kanounists ... btw, kanoun = the greek word kanon / ?????, ??????? / meaning the rule, the measure of a thing... Here it is meaning the Pythagorean Kanon on music intervals ... = divining the kanon one can find thw armonic intervals of our music system (Pythagorean or Aristoxeneion Music System, which based on the Arabs theoretikoi 15 centuries after Pythagoras' writings ...). If some dont like them or like them. this is the historical trueth, my friends...

If the kanonaki is like the santouri in the tuning, once it's stabilized it stays in pretty good tune (like she said it took half a year for her instrument), except that it changes a bit in the summer and then again in the winter.  You get pretty fast at tuning, but there are sure a lot of strings!!!!!
